The LITIER Project involves construction and development of a high-end multimodal logistic network aimed to provide the retailers, distributors, manufacturing and construction companies with a warehousing logistic services on the territory of European Russia, including warehousing, storage and processing of goods, transportation and forwarding, as well as customs broker services. The logistic network is unique in Russia due to system approach to the network construction and planned multimodality (automobile, railroads, river and aircraft).
- Obvious lack of warehouse areas and imperfection of logistic infrastructure
- The retail trade becomes better organized and increases its requirements to the quality of logistic services
- Progressive saturation of major cities with goods makes the retailers expand into regions
- Big international companies with high requirements to the quality of logistic services enter the Russian market
- The government intends to evolve the Russian transportation system for East-West and North-South transit
LITIER Terminal provides the network Clients warehouse logistics services, including storage and the full spectrum of warehouse processing.
LITIER project evolves in cooperation with the leading German and Russian logistics consulters who helped us develop the project concept.
After having made the market research we have chosen 4 Russian regions for the first phase of the Project:
- Moscow and Moscow region
- Nizhny Novgorod region
- Rostov-on-Don region
- Kaliningrad
The chosen regions are united by the network of automobile roads, railway roads and water ways and lie on the cross of the Russian key transport corridors: North-South and West-East.
The first phase of the LITIER Project involves the construction of 6 large A-class logistic complexes in the European part of Russia:
- 4 A-class logistic centres in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Rostov-on-Don
- 2 Integrated River Port and Warehouse Logistic Complexes in Dmitrov (Moscow region) and Kaliningrad
The total area of the warehouses will make about 400 000 m2, besides the logistic complexes will have different temperature zones (from -24º to +18º Ñ). The area of fresh and deep frozen warehouses will make about 100 000 m2.
Warehouse complex LITIER Domodedovo started operations in 2008, other logistic terminals will start commissioning in 2012-2015.
